For best results, the Vital Defense should be applied in the mornings after cleansing and toning, so after using the Yonka Gel Nettoyant and spritzing with the Yon-Ka Lotion PG, I applied the Vital Defense to my face and neck.

The cream itself has a soft, silky feel to it as I massaged it into my skin, and it has a delicate but revitalizing citrus scent with hints of magnolia. As I worked it into my skin, it quickly set, leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft and ready for the day’s makeup.

I have combination skin and this is an “intensely hydrating” daily moisturizer, so I was initially worried about the effects this would have on my complexion—I had nightmares of waking up with pimples all over my face! As the day wore on, though, the only effect I noticed was that my face felt delightfully smooth and soft. My other major concern was that, because I wear foundation, the combination of moisturizer and foundation would make my face feel too heavy or clogged.
